How It Was to Grow Up with a Little Sister Who is a Lot Smarter Than Me

  • Post category:General

I was always one of the best students in class. Even though, I wasn’t an all A student, but I was one of the best. All of that didn’t matter because my little sister is smarter than me and was always the best student in class and even in the whole school. She was one of the all A students.

It’s always the people or the thing you compare you with that makes you feel successful or a failure. Even though, I was a successful student in school, I always felt stupid because my younger sister was better at everything.

Now, she studied Physics and is doing her master’s degree in Cambridge, UK. We come from a small town on the countryside and it’s even exceptional to go studying but she even made it to Cambridge.

But what did she do to get there?

I lived with her almost my whole life. In school, she learned almost nothing because she understood it right away.

Then when she was around 16 years old she found her passion for Physics. Even though, she and I went to a business high school (only one year of physics one hour a week), she got so fascinated by it and Astronomy that she started to study it in her free time.

Which teenager does that? You must live extraordinary to get an extraordinary life and success.

So, she kept studying and also during her Bachelor’s degree, she kept studying.

“People are always asking me about the secrets and tricks I use to get results. Sorry if this disappoints you: there are no secrets. There are no tricks. It’s simple: ask yourself where you are now, and where you want to be instead.” -Tim Grover, Michael Jordan’s personal trainer

Not everyone is as lucky as she is to find their passion at 16. I found mine with 22, even though I already thought about it when I was 18, but I didn’t have the courage to follow it. Now I understand how it feels to love studying and to spend all the free time studying it. I just can’t stop, and vacations are the worst time of the year.

Conclusion

If you want to have extraordinary success, you must live extraordinary. Do whatever it takes to make your dream happen. Everything is possible. If you find your passion, then follow it with all your heart and energy.
