5 Minutes Daily for More Positivity in Your Life

Start Your Daily Gratitude Habit to Nurture Your Positive Mindset

If you’re reading this, then you are one of the richest people in the world. You have internet and a device to read this on.

But most of us are complaining and feel like the world is negative. Positivity is missing.

There are so many things we take for granted in our lives.

Because we get used to them.

Can you imagine a life without a smartphone?

A few decades back they didn’t even know what a phone is. The thought of calling someone on the other side of the world and hearing them sounded impossible.

And now, we are angry when somebody doesn’t write back immediately or is coming a few minutes late.

A few decades back they made up an appointment face to face and if somebody wasn’t punctual, they just waited. Waited without a phone to do something in the meantime.

And now, we can do so much while we’re waiting for somebody:

  • reading the newspaper
  • learning Spanish
  • googling something
  • studying for uni
  • calling someone

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance”

— Eckhart Tolle

Every Day Positivity

You can use your smartphone every day.

You are healthy and experiencing this day.

And yet we forget how blessed we are with miracles and health.

All we hear in the news is negative.

The world seems unfair, unkind, and dangerous.

Instead of watching the news try something new today:

Write or think about everything you are grateful for today. All the things and people in your life.

By being grateful you spread positive energy and this positive energy, thoughts and situations will come back your way.

Just like there is a negative spiral, there is also a positive one.

And if you put yourself in a positive spiral by being grateful, you will get positive energy back.

“Positive energy is like a muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets. The stronger it gets the more powerful you become. Repetition is the key and the more you focus on positive energy the more it becomes your natural state.”

— Jon Gordon

Life is Full of Miracles

Life is full of miracles, and the universe (or God or whoever) that created the world would be happy to see you appreciating those things.

The birth of a child is a miracle, so every person is a miracle.

All the inventions and the complex system of dependence in our universe are a miracle.

Every moment you should appreciate the good in it.

Every moment has a cause or something good to appreciate.

Think about it:

In the end, everything makes sense. There is a reason why something is happening.

“It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful”

— David Steindl-Rast

Daily Gratitude

To practice your gratitude and positive mindset, I need you to take 5 minutes of your day (before going to sleep or after waking up) to:

WRITE DOWN 3 THINGS YOU’RE THANKFUL.

I do this every day before I go to sleep.

Try to have new things or people to be grateful for every day. I know you can think of something!

For example:

  • flowers in the garden
  • the sun shining
  • swimming
  • delicious food
  • strawberries
  • Have a good talk with your family
  • having time to relax with your boyfriend

5 minutes every day. That’s all to take the first step to a more positive mindset and life.

In a few months, you can look back and read through your gratitude journal, and remember some positive situations or feelings.

Conclusion

Gratitude is the first step to a positive mindset.

In this negative world, it’s hard to focus on the good parts.

That’s why it’s your daily task to think of the positive things.

It seems like a tiny, unimportant daily task but you know:
daily habits are changing your mindset and your mindset is changing your view of the world.

Every change starts with a small daily habit and will create a mindset shift and a life shift.
